How to Study B.A.LL.B. in Nepal?

The B.A.LL.B. is a special integrated 5-year law course that aims at creating a band of modern lawyers who are knowledgeable and skilled to meet the current requirements of the law profession. Those students who have completed +2 or equivalent can apply for this programme. This degree qualifies the graduates to apply for membership of the bar to practice law in Nepal. It meets all requirements of the professional undergraduate law degree or Legum Baccalaureus that creates to work as lawyers in the corporate, criminal, civil, commercial, constitutional sector and public enterprises. 

Study of this course will enable the law students to develop a competitive edge for them in the business sector including the practice of business law in law courts and quasi-judicial tribunals.

There are various law colleges in Nepal under different Universities that offer 5 Years Law degree in Nepal.

Among them some of the Law Colleges are listed below:

Under Tribhuvan University, There are 3 Law colleges which offer B.A.LL.B.

1. Nepal Law Campus, Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu (105 Seats)
2. National Law College, Sanepa, Lalitpur (105 Seats)
3. Prithvi Narayan Campus, Pokhara (70 Seats)

Under Purbanchal Universtiy, there are 3 Law colleges which offer B.A.LL.B.

1. Kathmandu School of Law, Bhaktapur (300 Seats)
2. Chakravarti Havi College, Bijulibazar, Kathmandu (105 Seats)
3. Purbanchal Universtiy College of Law, Biratnagar (100 Seats)

Under Kathmandu University, there are 44 seats for BBM-LLB (A 5 Years integrated Course) and 44 Seats for BEcLLB (A 5 Years integrated Course).

Likewise, the B.A.LL.B. is also offered by different other Universities such as:

1. Far-Western University College of Law, Dhangadhi – 100 Seats
2. Mid-Western University College of Law, Surkhet – 100 Seats
